What I Write About

I'm Kathryn Goldman and I write about how creative professionals and entrepreneurs can protect their work so they can profit from it. I help you understand the power and limits of copyright protection. I explain the other options available for protecting creative content and how they work.

My work at the Creative Law Center gives you the business and legal perspective you need when making the move from artist to entrepreneur. I talk about how to slice and dice your protected rights in order to generate multiple revenue streams. Once the revenue starts, you're in business – a creative professional.  Here, we have conversations about what that means and the strategies for doing it well.

In addition to my free ebook, Rip-Off Protection Report for Creative Professionals, I offer live and online workshops on copyright and content protection, trademark basics and branding, and business building.

IN THE PAST 30 YEARS

I've spent my legal career working out of my office in Baltimore, Maryland and in courtrooms across the country.  Because of what I've seen in court, I want the people I work with to stay out of it. That is why I started blogging to educate creative professionals about their rights.

I've helped countless writers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs move from early stage idea to licensing or optioning creative assets to the successful sale of their business. I'm putting my experience protecting those clients to work for you here at the Creative Law Center.

You can find my full resume on my law firm website.

If you are ready to get the answers you need, you can book a one hour Zoom conference with me. I charge $375 for the hour. I look forward to helping you.
